Don't Be Deceived

Don't Be Deceived

The Word of God has got to be the foundation of why you believe what you believe. If it can't be backed up with God's Word, then why do you believe?
If someone comes to you declaring some timeline of events to come, the first thing you should do is search the Scriptures for confirmation of things that are spoken over you and to you.
Mark 13:22 KJV and AMP explains about those who will come in the Name of Jesus Christ but will deceive many. It also goes on to describe "False Christs" who will deceive even the very elect or those who would feel spiritually mature. We MUST have discernment and also compare with the actual Word of God for things said to us.
Ephesians 4:14 "That we not be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine; whereby being deceived by clever trickery."
Many religions have been formed out of a mixture of the truth of God's Word mixed with lies. Many Scriptures can be used out of context by using a single Scripture to confirm what someone WANTS to believe for the pleasure of their own fleshly desires.
Proverbs 14:12, 16:25 "There is a way that SEEMS right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
2 Timothy 3:16, 17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (God breathed) and is useful for teaching truth, rebuking wrong doing, correcting error and for providing instruction or training on how to live right so that the man of God will be thoroughly equipped for doing every good work."
2 Timothy 4:3, 4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned into fables."
It's important that we study the Word of God diligently and KNOW what we believe and be sure that it is absolute TRUTH that will secure our foundation in changing times.
