Will God Use You?
God wants to use us to do something for His Kingdom and His purpose, however; if we are unwilling and unavailable, He will choose not to use us; and use someone or something else who is a willing vessel to accomplish His purpose.
Luke 19:37-40 KJV (Even the rocks would cry out..)
Isaiah 55:11 KJV “So shall my Word be that goes out of my mouth: It will not return unto me void, but will accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it.”
John 5:

He told the man to take up his bed and walk, but He also told the Pharisees standing around, Which is easier to do, to say something like, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or ‘God Bless You’ or to actually speak something that would have to prove or demonstrate the power of God and speak to the man’s situation he was in?
Do we have the power of God accessible in our lives to the extent that we can make a difference?
Even the shadow of Peter caused healing in those he came across.
There are many people that say a lot of meaningless words, although there’s well-meaning intentions behind their statements, because in most cases, it’s most often the easiest path to take rather than speaking something with the power of God working within us.
After all, it’s only God that can forgive sins, and only God knows whether our sins are forgiven or not.
However, if we are willing to be used by God to speak into someone’s life that does in fact produce a miracle, within that miracle act, they would know that God had done something in their lives, and they would want to confess their sins and bring them to salvation.
John 9:1-3 “Who sinned? This man or his parents?” They were concerned about something totally unrelated to the situation at hand, which was that Jesus intended for that man to be healed and changed!
Jesus said, “Neither this man or his parents sinned; but that the works of God should be manifested in him.”
Romans 8:11 KJV “If that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in YOU, it will quicken your mortal body (to do things that are out of your nature but things supernaturally by the Spirit of God)”.
(Of course we’re not going to go around dragging someone out of their wheelchair, unless their faith was to that place and God specifically intended that THAT was going to be the time of their healing), but we can still speak to their need and make a difference.
The earth groans in travail (longing for) the manifestation of the sons of God.
Sometimes we manifest some of our personalities more than manifesting the works of God.
Although signs and wonders and miracles are great, and God uses those things to bring people to repentance, however that should not be the thing that we seek after on a continual basis.
The thing we should be seeking after is to see people‘s lives transformed by the power of the gospel so that they would forever be changed inwardly, and their soul would be saved.
But the road to GET THEM TO THAT place is many times by meeting them at the point of their need and making a connection with them in some way.
We have to be willing to be used by God for the sake of the gospel and to fulfill the great commission, whether it’s an inconvenient time for us, we’re busy, we’re tired etc.
(Home Depot last Sunday reaching 2 people in a common place, with a common situation of conversation; yet both people at two opposite ends of the story when asked if they cared if we prayed for them, grabbed my hand with BOTH of their hands and had tears in their eyes with being touched.
We actually felt drained in one way or another that day, but God uses our willingness in those times)
Being willing to be used by God is not limited to showing up to church on a Sunday when it fits our schedule.
I dare to say that coming to church on Sunday is not doing something for God, it is actually for OUR benefit to grow.
What I’m saying is, doing something for God is in actuality being a witness for the sake of the Kingdom outside of our normal Sunday morning rituals and routines.
Being used of God is being a witness to those around us wherever we go.
We must be willing and available to God if we want Him to show up and move on our behalf.
Some people act as though they are the CEO of a church (chief executive officer)….the acronym is correct, but they get the definition wrong. They are actually CEO (Christmas and Easter Only).
What will separate us from the love of God?
What will keep us from being used of God?
Romans 8:38-39 NLT
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Can God count on you (or I) to reveal Himself to this world?
Maybe you have tried to witness or to share the Gospel and it didn’t seem to make a difference?
Were we looking to fill a desire that we have ourselves by getting this “huge response” from that person? Or did we see an opportunity to see a need in someone, that by us being willing to step out of our comfort zone and actually make the decision to have a conversation with them about life in general and offer to pray for them to accept Jesus?
Too many times, we are always looking out for what is best for us, instead of being on the lookout for what someone else might be searching for!
1 Corinthians 3:6
One plants a seed, another waters it….but God gives the increase!
We never know if we are the planters or the waterers, but we do know that when we step out in Faith and Trust in God, He will supply.
God will see our availability to do His work, and when we DO, He will be faithful to send someone to plant seeds and water what concerns you (your situation, your family, etc).
But we do this for the cause of His Kingdom, NOT what we can get out of it in this life.
